Dy CM & Education Minister Manish Sisodia gave a surprise inspection visit to a Govt school at Sharda Niketan in Pitampura. Matters were far from proper in that school, to say the least.
DY CM entered a classroom to find students not focussed & out of their seats. He inspected a Vocational Subject class to find that students were taught without a book and dictated notes by the teacher. Upon asking basic questions of students, he did not get any answers.
He inspected IT labs and learned that teachers teach IT by book theory. There were no software available & there was lack of internet connection! The principal never wrote to any competent authority about this.
Dy CM finally said that all infrastructure is in place but there is no ambience of learning in school. He said that Govt can only provide infrastructure & specialist teachers, the onus of responsibility must be taken by the principal & his teachers. Alarmed school administration took the warning and ensured better ambience of learning henceforth.
