PUBLIC NOTICE

Sub : Engagement of Guest Teachers of PGT in Schools of Directorate of Education.

                         Guest Teachers of PGT are proposed to be engaged by the Heads of Schools of the Directorate of Education from amongst the qualified youth. Subject-wise vacancies in each school are available on the website. The number of vacancies are subject to variation. The Guest Teacher shall be engaged purely on temporary basis, till the post is filled up on regular basis or till 10th May, 2014, whichever is earlier. Willing candidates may register themselves with any on specific school of choice online on our website www.edudel.nic.in from 19th Aug., 2013 to 26th Aug.,, 2013. The details of eligibility are as under :-

1. PGT/Lecturer : Candidates with Post Graduate degree in the subject concerned, with B.ed. can apply for PGT. However, in case of PGT (Home Science/Domestic Science and Physical Education) the qualification is as under :-

1.1 PGT/Lecturer (Home Science/Domestic Science) : M.Sc. (Home Science) OR B.Sc 

(Home Science) with Degree/Diploma in Education.

1.2 PGT/Lecturer (Physical Education) : Post Graduate degree in Physical Education.

2. PGT/Lecturer (EVGCs) : M.A. in Psychology from a recognized University Degree or Diploma in Guidance and Counselling.

3. Age Limits :- As on 1st July, 2013

(i) PGTs/EVGCs (Sr. No. 1 & 2) :              Not exceeding 36 years

4. Guest teacher would be engaged on the basis of academic merit.

5. Persons engaged as guest teachers during 2012-13, will be given preference in the same school and subject. However, based on assessment of HOS if the performance of Guest Teacher including the examination results in the respective subject is not up to mark, no preference will be available.

6. The Guest Teachers PGT will be paid @ Rs. 800/- per day subject to a maximum of Rs. 20000/- per month as approved by Finance Department vide U.O. No. 54/DS3 dated 19-06-13.

7. The candidate shall fill-up his/her name, as appeared in the certificate of class X examination. Any deviation in this regard will lead to disqualification. Candidates in their own interest are advised to fill up all the items in the online application form carefully. Before submitting the form online he/she shall check the particulars on the "Review" screen. Requests for correction what so ever shall not be entertained at later stages.

8. The candidate shall use, internet explorer only while filling up application online.

9. The order of merit list will be displayed on website on 30-08-2013 and Candidates are accordingly advised to contact the HOS concerned immediately.
